After many years of planning, we set out to renovate our 1880's farmhouse starting the summer of 2008. It took over a year before we could move in, but now it's become home...again.

House Before Renovation
Before: 2008, 1800 sq. ft.
House After Renovation
After: 2010, 5200 sq. ft.

Barn Demolition - We tore down a neighbor's barn (with permission ;-) ) and used much of the salvagable lumber in the house.

Roofing the Granary - We put a new metal roof on our granary while we were at it.

Constructing Scaffold on House - We had to tear off the shingled roof and siding from the house.

Moving the Mobile Home - Our mobile home was in the way of our new foundation and the path we used to move the house.

Cement Pour Using Boom Truck - Pouring cement into the new footings.

Moving the House Part I - Lift the house off the old foundation and move it about 100 feet northwest.

Moving the House Part II - After a week of rain, we had 4 - 6 inches of mud to move the house through.

Moving the House Part III - Position the house and roller-beam onto the new foundation.
